Ahhhhhhh.... (v 2.0)

Short cruise day to Ingram Bayou. We were welcomed into the anchorage at sunset by Flipper and some of his buddies. Along the way I was finally able to do the sea trial and configure the autopilot system. It was driving me crazy because it's also linked to the main chartplotter (mapping/navigation) system and because it's "compass" rules the operation and because it wasn't configured, it was 180 degrees off! That meant that all the charts/navigation were upside down............ a big annoyance. Luckily during this time what has become our primary navigation tool, my iphone (go figure) loaded with a different software that is actually more up to date, was at the helm too as a backup. Now with the autopilot pointing in the right direction and working, cruising the long channels and the upcoming night crossing of the Gulf will be much less of a slog.

Spent the afternoon in the sunshine airing out all the stuff that got soaked during the crossing of Mobile Bay (what a lesson that was) and enjoying the quietude at anchor with our critters and the local wildlife.
