So two days turned into a week at Tarpon Springs. The marina is close to town, the weather's been perfect and we've continued to find "reasons" to stay on longer: we're tired from the crossing, we've got fuel problems, it's stormy, it's our anniversary, ...................
An unexpected treat was reconnecting with our friends Anthony and Jennifer, who were in the process of moving here. We had another great greek seafood dinner and fun time catching up!
It looks like we'll have some great cruising weather next week and the thought of traveling during the weekend (the waterway here through Tampa/St Pete is like I-285 on the weekends!) and it's Mother's Day are maybe the last extension. On my bike ride to the local Publix/Walmart to get resupplied I encounter a hot rod cruise in in the old city center..........nice!!! I dun wanna leave!
Tarpon Springs is also part of a bikeway path that goes all the way down to Clearwater like Atlanta's Beltline. It's my daily ride while we're "stuck" here in Tarpon Springs.
Another load of supplies from the local Walmart/Publix supercenter!
