So we've made our way thru the Clearwater/St Pete/ Tampa Bay area during the weekdays to avoid the crazy boating weekend traffic (yes sad but true). It's been an interesting trip cruising thru the areas where I used to come on the weekends myself when I was working in Tampa. Lot's of boats, bridges and development, but surprisingly, lot's of wildlife, parks/preserves and biking trails too. Dolphin and osprey are everywhere and the weather has continued to be perfect.
As we get to the south of Tampa Bay we enter the largest shipping channel so far. Lot's of water and big boats to manage. Crossing under the Sunshine Skyway we see Egmont Key, our next anchorage for a couple days.
