After a quick stop to add fuel, water and provisions, we pick up our friends Ray & Jean and 2 more kayaks. We spend the better part of the week gunkholing the tributaries of the St Johns and kayaking the shallows of the surrounding creeks and get to see the beginnings of the fall color changes. We also hike the trails of Hontoon Island and see the 7000 year old shell middens in the interior of the island.
