Trout Creek

Back on the St Johns we continue to make our way back north/downstream. On the way south we anchored nearby in Murphy's Creek. This time we cruise the side stream of Trout Creek for the day. Because the water levels are still up a foot or two from Hurricane Matthew we are able to explore the full length of Trout Creek and find a very secluded anchorage.

The next morning we encounter one of the last 2 bridges we'll need to have open for us. The Buffalo Bluff CSX RR bridge is normally open but closes when trains are coming thru. On the way down we ended up anchoring for an hour to wait for a freight train to pass. This time we're lucky and make a clean passage without delays.
